About the Role

As the Senior Sales Executive for New Zealand, you will play a pivotal role in our company’s outbound growth strategy. You will be responsible for driving outbound sales efforts, building relationships with prospective customers, and acting as the face of the company in the region. This position is ideal for a self-starter with deep industry knowledge and a passion for travel technology, who thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous work environment. There will be potential for the individual to grow and manage a sales team, depending on performance. 

 

What you will do

Sales & Business Development:

  • Proactively identify, contact, and qualify potential customers to introduce them to our booking software solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline by leveraging outbound calls, emails, networking events, and industry connections.
  • Conduct product demonstrations tailored to the needs of tour operators, showcasing how our software can address their specific challenges.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms, ensuring alignment with company policies and customer satisfaction.

Regional Market Leadership

  • Develop a strong understanding of the New Zealand travel and tourism market, including key players, challenges, and trends.
  • Represent the company at local industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to strengthen brand presence.
  • Potential travel required to visit prospects around NZ.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Head of Sales ANZ on market conditions, customer insights, and competitive activity.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Collaborate with ANZ Sales team to localize campaigns and generate leads aligned with New Zealand market needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress using the company’s CRM tools.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to the Head of Sales ANZ, including sales forecasts, achieved targets, and market analysis

 

What we are looking for

  • Experience: At least 4+ years of full sales cycle experience.
  • Self-Starter: A proactive, highly motivated individual who can independently manage their workload, set priorities, and achieve sales targets.
  • Relationship-Building: Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with a knack for building trust and rapport quickly.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written, negotiation and verbal communication abilities to present solutions clearly and persuasively.
  • Industry Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of New Zealand’s travel and tourism landscape, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Tech-Savvy: Ability to work with a CRM and other sales tools (G Suite etc)
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to travel across New Zealand as needed and collaborate with global teams in different time zones.
  • Experience in a SaaS start-up or scale-up environment, as an early sales hire.
  • Proficiency with Hubspot.
